Soul and the Artistic Life

I woke up this morning and realized that I need to get moving on claiming my space in the internet universe. I have attempted this before… circumstances and a failure to take care of my soul life properly, caused me to jump off that ship. The shore was so far away and it took a really long time to swim through shark infested water. I got chewed up a little, but managed to survive. So, I decided to get a new boat.

Soul life is so very important. I have had a life’s worth of soul conversations, indecisiveness, dreaming and not following up. Do you think you have some sort of soul mission, a reason why you were born? Be it a small, very personal life or bigger than life ~ there you are. And you know, it doesn’t really matter what it is you do, just do it with integrity.

I like to make things. I am a maker. I am creating this web site to partner up with my Etsy shop and sell my artwork and crafting stuff. My artistic life began when I was a wee tiny girl engaging her color book and a coveted giant size box of crayons with a sharpener. I have been painting and crafting ever since. I have managed to sell a couple of paintings, shown my work in various galleries and eating establishments, and my home is filled with artwork I could never sell because I don’t want to part with them. Artwork can be like having children, the love is so unfathomably deep.

I like to write. It helps to fire up my creative brain to write about the weirdness of living on this planet in a human form. If you really think about it, being a human is pretty weird. It is wonder filled to think about what our bodies are made of: carbon, water, air… To take it even further, we are stardust. Every time you breathe, a teensy tiny molecule of a distant star that exploded a cajillion parsecs ago could be imbedded into our bodies. Being a human is crazy wonderful and pretty dang miraculous isn’t it? Brains and corpuscles, talking and thinking, breathing and eating is strange indeed. Then, if you include other mammals, plants, minerals, birds, stars ~ it is way cool to participate in such a wonderful reality.

There was one day, long ago, when I realized that we are all individual cells in the greater corporeal body of god. Yes, it was sort of a mind blower. Like when you are taking a walk, or driving your car and realize that we are living in a 4-D reality and life is an unfathomable movie set ~ which is really the mind and heart of god. I suspect by now you maybe have a glimmer of how I think and see the world. To be continued… now that I have flung back the curtains and let the light in. Love ~ C
